Our Story

Smit's Chilli story began in 2015 when Arjen (Ar-yen) couldn't find the perfect Sambal to put on his peanut butter toast; a past time he loves to share with his Dad.

Our first Sambal first receipe was trialled, tested, and adapted - batch after batch was made given to friends and family as gifts. Everyone wanted more. Smit's Chilli was created.

We are passionate about unexpected chilli varieties, the best fresh, local and seasonal Australian produce we can source and we seek to combine these in to find new remarkable flavours.

We see chilli in ways others don't.
